Mechanical Press Brake


A press brake is originally designed for bending sheets. There are many press brakes available, depending upon the applying force, such as mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic. In a mechanical press brake, the metal plates and sheets are bended by applying mechanical force. There is a spinning flywheel, to which energy is added by an electric motor. The clutch in the machine assists the flywheel to power a crank mechanism. This mechanism moves the ram in vertical position. The two major features of this machine are speed and accuracy.
